Understanding
the Light Wavelengths

Blue Light

Blue light targets acne-causing bacteria, helping to reduce active breakouts, inflammation and future blemishes while improving overall skin clarity.

Red Light

Red light stimulates fibroblasts to increase collagen and elastin production, reducing fine lines, improving skin firmness and promoting skin rejuvenation.

Near Infrared Light

Near Infrared penetrates deeper into the skin to reduce inflammation, accelerate tissue repair, improve circulation and support faster healing following aesthetic treatments.

Many treatments combine these wavelengths to achieve optimal clinical results based on your individual skin concerns.

Your Treatment & What to expect

Following a comprehensive skin consultation, you will relax comfortably beneath the Dermalux LED device while the selected light programme is delivered. The treatment is completely painless, produces no UV light, and most clients find it deeply relaxing.

Sessions typically last 20–30 minutes and there is no recovery time, allowing you to return to your normal daily activities immediately afterwards.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Although many clients notice healthier, brighter skin after just one treatment, the best results are achieved with a course of 6–12 sessions, depending on your skin concerns. Maintenance treatments every 4–8 weeks help preserve long-term skin health and collagen production.

Dermalux can also be combined with treatments such as SkinPen® Precision Elite microneedling, chemical peels, skin boosters and medical-grade skincare to enhance results and speed recovery.
